Supporters will be taking part in the Muslim Charity Run on Sunday 17th September raising money for Noor Ul Islam's Project Rebuild.
Project Rebuild is the name of the Noor Ul Islam reconstruction programme. We are building a new mosque and community centre in East London at a cost of £8 million.In order to raise this money supporters have been taking part in different events, including a trek up mount Snowdon and holding dinner events.
So far £4.5 million has been raised, leaving £3.5 million left.The new complex will replace four of Noor Ul Islam old buildings. This new facility will have prayer areas for men and women, two gyms, a cafe, classrooms, lecture/community halls, funeral services and library.
Noor Ul Islam has been around since 1990 and is known for its community cohesion work and services for the youth, women and elderly. The new building will allow improved and expanded services.
